Domayne, one of Australia’s leading online homewares and furniture retailers, were releasing a new range of crystal christmas decorations – just as they do every year. This season all 12 were animals.
The videos promoting them needed to be aimed at both kids and adults and avoid feeling too ‘Christmassy’.
We wanted to bring these animal decorations to life and stop motion animation was the perfect approach.
Our creative team developed a character for each decoration, then decided to use simple line animation style to create unique, dynamic environments for each of the 12 characters. Our social strategy was to feature each decoration in its own 15 second video, released weekly leading up to Christmas.
Then finally, one wrap-up video bringing together all 12 characters.
Our production team captured all stop-motion elements in studio. We used coloured card as the background when capturing the stop motion, which allowed us to insert the unique environments behind their characters during post-production.
The resulting series of 13 videos brought the crystal animal Christmas decorations to life in a series of vivid, fun animations. Domayne used all 13 videos across their social channels.
